Comtec Announces Four New FREE AIA-CES Seminars On Electronic Home Technologies

Comtec is pleased to announce four new free AIA-CES seminars for architects and home builders. These private seminars will be held in our showroom at 1900 Hendersonville Road in Asheville, North Carolina for all registered AIA members and firms as well as Home Builder Association builders. A Survey of Electronic Home Technologies - 2 Hour, EHT101

"A Survey of Electronic Home Technologies" is a survey of the most popular electronic technologies offered for the residential market. Topics include: structured wiring, telecommunications and intercom, music and video distribution, infrared control, home theater, lighting control, security, home automation, system integration and emerging technologies. Participants will receive hands-on demonstrations on all electronic technologies as outlined in the course description. Electronic system allowances for architectural clients will also be discussed. Upon completion, participants will be able to accurately represent each of these technologies to their clients and determine system needs according to their client's lifestyle. There will be a question and answer session following the completion of the seminar.

Audio/Video Design Concepts - 2 Hour, EHT102

"Audio-Video Design Concepts" is an in-depth study and discussion on the practical design concepts of modern day audio-video systems. Design topics include: home theater, whole-house music and video, infrared control systems, home automation, and system integration. Participants will receive hands-on demonstrations on all electronic technologies outlined in the course description. System allowances for architectural clients will also be discussed. Upon completion, participants will be able to accurately represent each of these technologies to their clients and determine system needs according to their client's lifestyle. There will be a question and answer session following the completion of the seminar.

Lighting Control Design Concepts - 2 Hour, EHT103

"Lighting Control System Design Concepts" is an in-depth study and discussion on the practical design concepts of modern day residential lighting control. Design topics include: hard-wired, whole house systems, one-room lighting control, wireless lighting control systems, and motorized window treatments. Participants will receive hands-on demonstration on all electronic technologies as outlined in the course description. Control system allowances for architectural clients will also be discussed. Upon completion, participants will be able to accurately represent each of these technologies to their clients and determine system needs according to their client's lifestyle. There will be a question and answer session following the completion of the seminar.
