Home Automation Integrates with Concierge Services for Simpler Lifestyle
In the big city, when it comes to new home construction, the only
way to go is up. But here in the mountains, development living still
offers some “breathing” room, not to mention the same luxury
amenities as those “houses in the sky.”
Kitchen Concierge
Take it from Donald Trump, one of
Vertical Integration Group’s (CIMAX/VIG) most notable clients;
people want convenience, connectivity and control, all from the comfort
of their own home. But, you don’t have to live in a condo in
Florida or Las Vegas to enjoy all these perks, local builders and developers
are evening the playing field with these multi-development (MDU) unit
perks.
CIMAX/VIG, a company out of Florida, perfected the “condo concierge” concept,
creating MDU, a system that gives one-touch access to a wide variety
of services. Users can save a spot by the pool, book a massage, request
dry cleaning pick-up, order groceries, reserve a tee-time and be directly
connected to their condo or development’s calendar of events.
And that’s not all, now that VIG partnered Crestron Home Automation;
total home control proves even simpler.
"When two dynamic and innovative companies get together like
this it's very exciting," says Randy Klein, Executive Vice President
of Crestron. Both Klein and George Fallica, co-owner of CIMAX/VIG expressed
enthusiasm about their new partnership, "We've both enjoyed a lot
of success in the MDU market, but now we've joined our unique strengths
to create a solution that is more advanced and robust than has ever
been offered before."
Automate Me
Crestron Home Automation’s strength is control, from lighting
to home theater to your coffeemaker. Crestron utilizes color touch panels
and can be controlled anywhere in the world, thanks to the Internet.
"Dealing with developers over the years, and understanding their
needs and the resources they have for integrating building technology,
we had difficulty finding a vendor/supplier that could deliver the technology
they demanded,” said Fallica. “After research, we came to
the conclusion that Crestron is the clear choice [for home automation
integration] based on their superior technology as well as their support
and responsiveness to address the needs and visions of developers."
CIMAX/VIG provides the software and Crestron provides the hardware,
and together the sky’s the limit when it comes to control. Want
a more efficient home? Let Crestron regulate the temperature while you’re
away, or use your PDA or PC to control the HVAC remotely.
Tired to keep track of five different remotes for your home theater
components? Crestron uses the touch of one button for DVD, one for cable,
of trying to figure out which remote is for the DVD player, and which
is for the receiver? With one button, Crestron turns on satellite TV,
plays a movie- it can even dim the lights.
Crestron lighting control sets the mood with preprogrammed lighting
scenes and of-site control. On vacation? Crestron can be set to simulate
your everyday lighting habits. Hear a strange noise outside? One button
will turn on all your interior and exterior lights. Left the light on
in the basement? Crestron controls any lighting from anywhere in the
house.
And don’t forget about music. Whether it’s the radio,
music CD, SIRIUS or XM Satellite radio or MP3 files from your iPod,
Crestron’s touchpanel let’s you easily maneuver between
song selections.
Finally, Crestron helps keep your home safe, integrating security
systems, camera surveillance and lighting control into your home automation
system.
