Mike Ridenour - CEO/President holds a B.S. degree in Music and Recording Arts from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a Master of Music degree from Appalachian State University. Before becoming President and owner of Comtec, Mike worked extensively in the music industry as a recording engineer and sound system designer. He has been published by the international classical guitar magazine “Soundboard” for his article “Recording The Classical Guitar.” Mike has also been a contributor to the Western North Carolina Builder/Architect Magazine.

Mike has taught audio engineering courses at Appalachian State University and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Blue Ridge Community College. He has guest lectured on various audio engineering and music industry topics at Appalachian State University, the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and Lebanon Valley College in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Mike has also authored audio engineering curricula for the Charlotte, North Carolina based Carolina School of Broadcasting as well as a Music Industry Studies Minor program, for mass communication majors, at Appalachian State University.

Mike served on the 2004 and 2005 Asheville Home Builders Association Board of Directors as Vice President of Associate Members. He is very active in his church, Etowah Baptist, and currently serves as Deacon. He has also served as Sunday School Director, Church Council Moderator, and member of the Finance, Nominating, and Long Range Planning committees. He has taught seminars on the book of Revelation and end-time events. Mike is also a member of the Gideon’s International. Mike lives in Etowah, North Carolina with his wife, Michelle, and two children, Matthew and Micah
